New front rotors and pads pedal pulsates and burning smells
Both front brakes are getting hot. It's amazing how a simple rotor changed can cause this kind of problem. I have been doing brakes in our cars for long a time with no issues and this is the first time it happened. Remember it was working fine before i replace the rotor due to a bad bearing and this is the third time i replaced the front rotor on this truck.
Did i damaged the master cylinder since i just open the rfluid reservoir when pushing the piston instead of the bleeder valve?
Thanks

You wouldn't have damaged the master cylinder by what you did. You could probably test both the master cylinder and the rubber hoses by removing the top from the master cylinder and loosening the bleeder valve on the calipers and see how well it would gravity bleed. I would just loosen one bleeder valve at a time. Don't let the master cylinder run dry.
Thanks masseyman, I will work on it again this weekend and see how the wheel turns when i raise it up. This is my 3rd autozone rotors isnce i have the truck
. I will also try the gravity bleed.
I did not use the new sliding pin that comes in the new caliper since it's kind of tight. I re-use just clean and lube the old pins but i notice one is tighter then the other. Does the pins supposed to be tight but moves or loose?
I will try the test and post the outcome.
Thanks
