305/70/17??

Hey guys...ok ive got a 2005 F150 Supercrew 4x4 with a 2.5 inch leveling kit in the front I have been running with 285/70/17s but getting close to new tires and was thinking should I stick with those or go up to a 305/70/17? I know it shouldn't rub but my concern is strain on trans and axles...if I go up should I change out my gears and if so to what?? Should I worry about trans issues?? I never haul a trailer but maybe twice a year and the bed is loaded less than a handful of times a year...also running with hypertech max energy programmer and dual exhaust so I got a little more power...any input would be welcome! Thanks!

To fit those, you'll need to use the stock wheels or one with virtually identical specs. As for the drivability, you should be fine according to how you state your truck is used.

I really wish I would have read this before I bought mine....I screwed up and bought wheels with a -12 offset, and I get rub about 1/8 of a wheel turn before wheel lock(on the steering wheel)...Looks like Im gonna have to trim....Mines an 06 with 2.5 leveling kit. But she looks mean as hell sitting there...
