Question 2013 fx2

hey guys, new to the truck scene and need a little help. as stated I have a 2013 fx2. I put a 2.5" rough country leveling kit on it. kinda look ridiculous driving around with all the wheel gap now. my wife is even making fun of my little tires now. The truck came with the 18" wheels on it. I am pretty sure I am gonna go with a 20x9 or 20x10 Fuel Offroad wheel. My question is does anyone know what would be the biggest tire size I can go with the leveling kit on?? Thanks for any input.

Questions like this have been asked a million times on this forum and other forums. The answer (for the most part) is that it depends. Each vehicle sits differently and each leveling kit will have a different impact on your vehicle. My suggestion to you (as I have recently gone through this search myself) is to find a tire you want. Whether its a mud tire, at AT tire, or a regular radial tire. Figure out what brand you want to go with, then research what sizes those tires come in. Then start searching this forum and Google for people with lifted FX2s with similar wheels and see what they were able to fit. You will find tons of conflicting information because, like I said, each truck is different. It will depend on what offset your wheels are, how much your 2.5" lift actually lifted your truck, and other factors. Some people will claim that a tire rubs while someone with an identical setup will claim no issues. Go with something you are confident will fit or be ready to trim plastic if you are stretching it.

In short, during my search, I found people with 2 wheel drives that were clearing 285/70/R18 pretty commonly. That comes out to be a little over a 33" tall tire and just under 12" wide. Use this site http://tire-size-conversion.com/ to convert between metric and inches.

On my FX2 with 2.5" level I was running 285/65/18 nitto trails on 18x9 xd addicts +18 offset. They looked perfect on it imo. I still have them on my leveled FX4 and I'm looking to go bigger, but they were great on the 2wd. You can probably go a little bigger, but this size required no trimming and there was no rubbing in any situation.

I'd suggest going with a 20x9 inch wheel, with 5 inches of backspacing and a 305/55-20 (33x12.50) tire.

Btw, the actual measurement on my truck is 32 1/4" tall and 12" wide at the sidewalls.
