Tires

I have a 2000 F 350 4 x4 Lariat crewcab, I'm looking to purchase new tires and I would like some input on what is recommended for this truck. I would like an all terrain that has a "tougher" look than the stock tires that came on the truck.

Thanks a lot ...

Best thing to do is just take it to your favorite tire shop and check out what they have. Since you got the SD, you'll want to only look at tires with a load range of "E" or higher. That's so you can still handle heavy loads and such.

What are your intentions for the truck. Towing/hauling, off road, highway cruiser, mud, snow, rain..........................

That's really the first question you need to ask. Go from there. There's a tire for each situation.

again, it depends...

Personally, I'm a michelin man myself, always will be...

Along those lines, if you're looking for something you can take off road and still drive very well on the street (ie, it's still smooth) Go for the Michelin LTX AT, that would be a 265/75/16 in the e load range tire. I work in a tire shop and recently we just had a chevy 2500 that this guys beat to death (it was a 99 and had 130k miles on it) and he said he never rotated. Anyway, he got almost exactly 80k miles on them. Defenately check them out.
