best way to finish aluminum wheels?

I have some new polished aluminum wheels, but I am dreading the amount of upkeep they require. Any coating suggestions to keep them looking good?

Not a fan of black wheels. Not a fan of polishing every month. Would like a finish anywhere from dark grey to chrome.

silver powdercoat?

Rattle can clear?

auto paint to match the fender flares?

let the wheels oxidize to a nice grey patina?

If there is not already a coating, clear coat would probably b e the best. Then it would just be like washing the truck to clean them.

Clear coat it is.

I can always have them bead blasted and powder-coated later if the urge hits me.

Have you considered Plasti Dip? It's a rubber paint, in different colors and it will last a year or two. The best part is if you want to change colors, it peels off. Check out DipYourCar.com
