Decided to just go with 275/70/18 Cooper S/T Maxx since I have a 2.5" level and wanted a bigger sidewall to fill the wheel well.

HOWEVER, the wheels I want are 9" wide and the 275/70/18 S/T Maxx is listed on the spec sheet as having a maximum wheel width compatibility of 8.5"

Okay, redbusa, you gotta tell people that you have a '99 and whether or not it's 4x2 or 4x4, along with any sort of suspension modifications.

I'm seeing you post on a dozen different threads. I even answered one. This method of going about reviving old threads and not including any information in all these different places is very ineffective. Make your own thread, include ALL the info about your truck, and get the answers you need

Fair enough, but I was only doing multiple thread responses because I've gotten bashed for making nut own thread before about such things so I just added responses, my apologies.

2008 FX4 Supercrew 5.4, 3.73 gears, 2.5" level running stock 18x7.5 wheels now with 275/65/18 Cooper Discoverer AT3

Well why don't you just make your own thread? I personally don't understand why others don't like reviving old threads, I just say it's not the way to go because most of the people in those old threads don't get on here anymore, so they can't help. No apologies needed!

Those tires should fit just fine, and I wouldn't worry about the max width rating on those Coopers. It would be preferable to have 8.5" wides for them, but almost every other 275mm wide tire can take up to 9.5" of wheel, like mine do. I have 20x8.5" wheels and 275/60/20 tires and there's plenty of sidewall bulge to take a 9" wide wheel. I do wonder why those tires have a max rating of 8.5" though. 1/4" extra on each side shouldn't do any harm when there's idiots running 12.5" wide tires on 14" wide rims.
