Hi,

I have a supercharger and I do a lot of accelerations
I'm currently running the stock tires on the stock 18in wheels
I've put fender flares and I'll get a 2.5 leveling kit on the front

What would you suggest as for tires?
I was thinking larger tires so the fender flares look useful, do they have to be off road types?
I do 90% city driving, and sometimes some gravel, nothing too serious

 

A wide tire will help fill out the wheel well with the fender flares, and yes, you can get a street tire in a larger size. A nice all terrain tire 33x12.50 or 305/65 would look good on your truck. The BFG ATs come in 305/65/18, and would both look good and perform good. Do you plan on running aftermarket wheels or keep the stock wheels?

 

NITTO terra grapplers or something similar would work well.

 

I use primewellsport brand from firestone its hard to brake them loose on the street but smooth asphalt and concrete they break loose just tapping the throttle. They work good in grass and gravel but I have gotten stuck in4 inches of mud lol. For everyday driving they'll be great. But absolutely suck at the track

 

I guess I need to change the stock 18in RIM right?

if not or if so which tire size should I get?

I was also thinking about buying another set of wheels and tires with an impact wrench and a few lift kits and change the wheels and tires myself whenever I need to go offroad, what would you think about that?

 

i run two different sets of wheels and tires. nice ones in summer that have better mileage tires, and a set of mud tires on less expensive wheels in the winter. but to answer your original question, getting on wider tire and/or rim will help fill out the wheel wells. a 2 inch level will do just fine. how concerned about mpgs are you? (not too much i assume since you say you like to floor it all the time lol) if you do mostly city driving with some gravel roads a highway tire will work just fine, but an all terrain tire like the toyo at or bfg at or nitto terra will look a little more beefy. now if you want a street performance tire you need to look at something like toyo proxes or nitto 555.

but these decisions you will have to make on your own based on what you want out of the truck and tires

about the load index, how much do I need? because the nitto and toyo are under 113 while the current ones have 114 or 113?
I currently have 2 different set of tires:
rear: P275/65R18 114T
front LT275/65R18 113/110S

also how large do I need so the tires and fender flares look good together?
295? 305?

 

I think the best for me is still going with terra grappler

which size would you get on stock 18in? or should I change my rims?

 

the stock rims are only 7.5 inches wide, so if you try and throw a 12.5 inch wide tire on there (305) it will look kinda funny and bow out. if it were me id find a 9 or 10 inch wide rim with a low offset that will push the rim outward and then throw a 33x12.5x18 or 20 on there

 

if you keep stock wheels run a 275/70/18, thats what i have on my narrower wheels. if you get wider ones run the 325/60/18, thats what i run on my wider wheels

so because the stock rim is not enough, is it worth going 20in?

the difference between 18 and 20 isn't that much, is there any gains but aesthetics?

 

firmer sidewall, slightly rougher ride. tires will be more spendy. the 20s may have a little less give and break loose easier. i run 18s but am throwing some 20s on tomorrow. never been a fan of 20s, but im trying to change haha

 

which offset would you chose for the wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler?

I was thinking of getting those LT325/65R18D2 121R B and offset for the wheel, is -12 ok?

those prices seem reasonable. those are the wheels i currently have on. i have them in 18x9 +18 and they are dead even with my stock fenders. a -12 will push them out a good amount more, so they will fill up your flares and maybe even stick out. and youll be running a 325 width where as i am running a 275 width.

this guy is running 305, should I get the same or 325? what would be the difference?
