The red inserts don't quite match the 'Ruby Red' of the truck, but oh well. What I didn't know was that the wheels come with chrome inserts that can be swapped with the red if it doesn't 'fit' my liking. Thanks for the compliment, Kingfish.

Up-date to the Up-date !!!. Had the new wheels installed today with new sensors. Now for the interesting part....Driving home the light was on (as expected as I had the take off wheels in the back) Too close to the truck to train. Anyway, long story short, about 20 minutes down the road, the light goes out....humm ??. Got home, took out the original wheels w/sensors and put them in the garage. After which went and did some errands clocking around 100 or so miles and NO LIGHT!!! I never had to set the new sensors at all...the truck evidently will 'see' the sensors and adjusts itself on it's own. Guess the re-learn procedure in the manual isn't needed anymore.......so far so good. Got the re-train tool in the console just in case !!

Interesting as I have not seen anything official saying they will retrain. I would definitely like to see something in writing before I would pass the info along as good for sure.

Let some air out of one of the tires and see if it trips.

Yep....let one tire down by 15lb, turned the key and BAM...there was the low tire warning. Brought it back to 35 and all is well, so, I guess it's safe to say, on mine anyway, that sensor 'training' is automatic.

That is interesting. Wish I could find something on it. Have searched, but nothing. Only about retraining using the reset tool.

Guess unless something shows up in print, we will know for sure when I replace the current wheels with the winter tires and the other sensors. If this is something new, that's great !! Not that it was that bad of a job re-learning different sensors.
