weird breaks

So i have a 2011 f150. Each morning when i first get in the truck the breaks dont grab well. After 3 weeks of being parked i almost hit another car pulling out of a parking space. I had to stand on the breaks as hard as i could. The truck groaned and slowed to a stop in way too much space. The breaks should not work this way. Anyone else have this trouble?

Never heard of such, especially on a brand new truck. The symptoms you've described, sound like a poor choice in brake pad material; some pads don't start to perform well until they're up to a certain temperature. However, this is usually not the case with the average street pad material and I'll assume since it's almost brand new, you haven't changed the pads yet. Being that new, should be under warranty...take it in.

sounds to me like a vacuum booster problem. Either a leak in the vacuum line, or more likely an internal leak in the booster that reduces the vacuum boost. Once the engine warms up the booster probably starts sealing so the issue goes away.

PS - they are BRAKES, not breaks.

not in a new truck but my 97 f150 did the same thing a couple of times
i tried a new master cylinder and the same thing happened then tried the booster (screw) tweaking (lots of comments about this ) fixed; just search it.

it might just need the tweaking

but it's under warrenty- -dealers problem

Sounds like the brake booster. Let us know what they find.
