Diagnosing warped rotor
Tight isn't the problem. Uneven torque is. It allows the disks to warp. As long as they are torqued to specs properly, there should not be a problem due to that.
Whatever you do, replace your pads / rotors / and if necessary calipers in pairs. I see a LOT of folks talking about hanging calipers with these trucks. I somewhat wonder if they are improperly lubed slides. I have been driving Ford trucks for decades, longer than MANY of the guys fussing about the calipers have been alive, and have never had a caliper legitimately hung. That is what disk brake lube is for guys...
The OE rotors on these trucks don't have a lot of metal to turn off, if your rotors have been turned previously, that may be why they warped. Got hot, hit a little bit of water, and whamo warped rotors... That is what happened to mine...
