Hi, my name is "pfister's04STX" and I had a few question that I was hoping to get answered. I'm 17 and I bought my 2004 F150 STX not to terribly long ago. I bought it from a dealer that said it was "mechanically sound", which was a lie because not two weeks later, I had to take it in for 2,600 dollar repair which is all water under the bridge now. But here lately, I have been seeing some problems that I'm not so fond of. Such as, black brake dust on my tires which I found out could be fixed by ceramic brake pads? I wanted to know if that was true. Also, I seem to be having some kind of liquid underneath of the truck that looks like oil. I was wondering if that could be an easy and cheap fix or if it would be expensive and difficult. These are my only issues at the moment. I also was wondering if you'll knew what the best ceramic brake pads are as well as tires. Please leave suggestions on either.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!

on the brakes, wagnet thermoquiets are pretty decent. but the dust is from either worn pads or can also be from aftermarket ones. aftermarket pads sometimes have more dust.
on the oil, get under there and look, see where its coming from. clean the crap out of everything, drive the **** out of it, then crawl back under there and look. and if that fails, repeat above steps, and park over newspaper to get your hunt started. you can be in the range of a loose drain plug to a 1000 dollar seal. need more info before we can price it. mainly we need miles, is the oil coming from the front or the back, and what was the dilema with the dealer concerning
