I recently re leveled my 05 F-150 FX4 with HBS 2.5. Now im looking to upgrade to a 20x9 rim for sure. I want to fit 305/55/20s. The problem im having is what offset and backspace rim setup i can have with NO trimming or rubbing. I wanted to get 4.5 bs, -12mm 20x9 but ive heard they rub. and i dont want rubbing or have to trim.

 

The rims seller said if i go with a 5.5 bs +18mm offset in 20x9 rims i shouldnt have to trim anything with 305/55/20, is this correct? The also make 6.2 bs with 30mm offset. Whats the difference? What would i best off getting? Looking and either the Moto metal MO956 or MO951

The wheel with 6.2 BS will pull the tire and wheel inside the wheelwell almost 3/4 inches and may rub the upper control arm. The 20x9 with 5.5 or 5.75 inches of BS would bring the tire and wheel outward and clear the control arm. Tires are 33.2x12.5 and should clear with no trimming.

About 1 1/2 inches using a 9 inch wide wheel. Stock 20's are 8.5 inches wide with close to 6.5 inches of BS.
