I know, I know, another wheel/tire combo thread

Ok guys I need some help.

I have a chance to get a used set of aftermarket 18" wheels for my truck that have -12 offset and 4.5" backspacing.

Right now, my truck sits on 295/70/18 nitto trail's with stock wheels and a 2.5" level.

Now the classic question...will there be any rubbing if I put these other wheels on there?
After reading a couple other threads I'm guessing I'll have to trim a little bit of the front valence, is that correct?

Any input is a huge help, thanks!

I don't see how they would rub as those aftermarket wheels will stick out further than the oem's.

i've read other things that say a negative offset may lead to rubbing on the lower front valence on the truck? i don't know...

Yes they will rub but if you are willing to trim plastic you should be good to go. Lower bumper valance and also the back of wheel wells. Let us know how it works out for you.

How wide are the new wheels? If they are a common 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of BS, I suspect you will have some pretty serious rubbing with a 295/70-18 tire, which is basically a 34x12.00-18.

I have seen where if you make a hard right the outside part of your right front tire would rub the rear inner part of your fender well. Should be all plastic.
