09 wheels on 05 FX4

Got a deal on a set of 4ea 09 F150 18" wheels, part number is 3779 I think and pretty sure they will fit, but not 100% sure. Does anybody know if i will have any problems with back spacing and caliper rubbing? My current wheels i have on it are in the signature. Thanks for any info.

Seems as if I have seen where there is a problem with some of the FX4 wheels, but other than that, should be good.

They will do fine. It is the reverse that can be a problem. Going from 04 or 05 to 09+. Backspacing will be exactly the same. OE 17" and 18" have 5.5" backspacing from 04 up. Only the 20" have a larger BS, and that wouldn't matter either.

With 18's you'll be fine.

Bluejay, It is when trying an 05 on an 09 that you would have a problem.

Doesn't matter which OE tire it is, itr would not be a problem.

Yep, I figured out that was probably the case.

Thanks guys...knew i could count on ya. Not a huge change in design of the wheel, but the old ones are faded and cant beat $300 delivered for a set of wheels, lugs and caps taken off at only two years on the truck.
