Tire question

Hi, I just bought a used f150, and new to the forum. Nice to meet you all!

The truck has 55000km on it and it looks like the tires need replacing. I would like to buy some wheels and tires for my f150 but i have a few questions.

This is for a 2010 f150 platinum(wheel size 275/55/r20). The truck is not modded in any way, all stock.

I like to buy the "kmc 18" rockstar 18x9", would this fit my truck? because 20" are pricy. which tire size would i need so that my speedometer won't give an incorrect reading? (275/65/r18?) would a 275/70/r18 look better? would it affect the car mileage? already getting 10mpg as it is. running up and down the mountain on a daily basis.

Also which tire gives that agressive look on the side?? I don't want to install a lift or level the truck.

Thanks.

4x4 or 4x2? Also, you are probably gonna catch a bunch of crap if you keep refering to your F150 as a "car".

If you want an 18 inch wheel, I'd go with a 33 inch tire like a 305/60-18 (33x12.50) or a 285/70-17 (33x11.50).

275/65/18 is the closest in diameter to your current tire. About .165" difference which won't affect your speedometer much at all. It would be the same width as your current tire with a larger sidewall due to the smaller wheel. Nitto has more aggressive sidewalls in both grappler and crosstek HD lines.

if money isnt an issue, look into the ****Cepek Fun County II. 305 65 18 Basically same height as stock just wider. Speedo is very close to stock, lost about 2-3MPGs but most of that is from the level. pics in my albums
Good luck with your purchase
