I take it you are 2wd? Do you plan on leveling? Either way I recommend 285/65/18. They will look stuffed without level, but if you keep stock wheels or similar backspacing they will fit. Welcome to the forum. The more info you provide about the truck and your plans, ie getting custom wheels, the better we can help.
Hello jerry!Thank you for your help!
Yes I have 2wd. XLT
Im new to the truck game I have 2001 saleen, and thats been my passion, built every part of that motor, rear end, suspension, tunning, etc.
Now that I bought this truck though I wanna learn the ways here.
I would like to keep the stock wheels for now, but get a big lift, big tires, fender flares, etc. What way should I go?????
Where should I post this as a thread????
Thanks again!

Here is good. The possibilities are as endless as your budget. I would recommend a level kit. Cheap and easy way to get you some extra clearance. Really common as well. 295/65/18 would fit with the level although they are kind of an uncommon size. With your truck being a 12, 1.5 or 2 inch would be best. Do you tow or haul much? If so you may want to add rear blocks as well. I would start with level and see how you like it. Pics of the car? Sounds nice.

Ive got a 1986 f150 4x4 standard cab w/ 8' bed and lockout front hubs.
I have a 2" block lift that was on there when I got it, and I am wondering what are the largest tires I can fit on there..
Right now the tires are 235/75/R17 and are dryrotted and damn near bald..
Time for new ones, but what should I get?
I would like to get something that can handle trails in snow, but also not be too wide or need to mod anything to get them on there.
Thoughts?
