Wheel Size Opinions...

I just picked up a 2004 F150 FX4 Charcoal Grey and it is in immaculate condition. For now I am throwing on my 17" XD Wheels with 285/70/17 Yokohoma Geolander's. I am looking into getting some Fuel Boost wheels however. For now I will probably stick to a 33" tire as 35" would kill my gas mileage, but would like a wheel size that would look good with both a 33 and 35 inch tire. For me that would be either a 17" wheel or 18" wheel. The one issue I see is that it seems like tires for an 18" wheel get quite a bit more pricey. I really love the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires but they only come in like a 32.5". What are your guys' opinions....17" Fuel Boost or 18"?

How much tread left on current tires? If plenty, I would go with the 17s. If you need new tires as well, it's really up to you. I personally like more tire sidewall so I went with 17s.

Yea I have plenty of tread left, won't need new tires for at least another year. Yea I may just go with 17's, but I will decide when the time comes for new rims. Thanks for the opinion!
