Lightbulb New Mastercraft Courser AXT 's installed

Just got a new set of 275/65/18 Mastercraft Courser AXT 's installed on my 2005 F150. When I looked around I didn't find much info on these new tires so thought I'd share a few words and pics.

I've only run them 3 days, but so far so good. They ride very quiet considering they are the "chunkiest" AT's I've ever run. I've run GY Wrangler Silent Armor's and FS Destination AT's in the past. The tread is the deepest of the three as well. In the past I've only gotten 30k out of my 50k tires, and I hope these can surpass that. They look great on the truck IMO. I went blackwall, but they are raised white letter inside if you prefer.

I'll add more after a rotate. Just a few quick pics from my phone.

My dad has the Courser CT's on his F250. They have been pretty good.

I agree, great looking tire. What did you pay for them? I'd like to hear how they do on snow and ice. How do they ride on the road?

I now have 5500 miles on these tires. I rotated once and they are wearing great...very even wear so far. Have not really had much snow the last two years in Ohio, but they do ride nice (and quiet) on the road. Don't even hear them on the freeway.

At this point I am very happy. I paid $800 installed for the tires (buddies shop, great price IMO) and got a $75 rebate. I sold the old worn Firestones for $80 on Craigslist. Pretty hard to beat four new AT's in 18" for $645 when all is said and done!

Just curious,, how have these tires performed for you since your last post? I am considering these myself. My local S&S Tire has them in P265/70/17 for
$579 installed OTD,, plus I also get a $75 rebate if I buy before the 15th.
Thanks

I sold my 2005 shortly after installing these tires, but put another set on a 2011 that I bought.

NOT happy with the wear of this tire. It will be completely done and need replaced at or before 25k miles!

What tire last on these 4x4 F150's????

BFG KO's...Nitto Terragrapplers and the Toyo AT2's. I've had good luck with getting a lot of trouble free miles with these brands.

Thanks! Looking at the Terra Grappler G2.

Can I fit 305/60/18 on stock wheels/truck???

I'm worried about the 285/65/18 since they are Load E. I'm worried about the ride with that load range.

The 305/60 is just so much wider than the 285/65.

The stock 275/65/18 are such a good price, should I just stay stock?
Looking to fill the wheel well a litter better.

Any suggestions??

Ordered Nitto G2's in 285/65/18 today.

Hope I don't regret LT's in load E.

Nitto's are made by Toyo so they'll last pretty good. I ran my Nitto Terra's at 42 psi cold and they wore and rode pretty good.

Honestly, thanks for your suggestions.

I hope you know I'm holding you personally responsible for this purchase .
They look good on the truck.

My buddy gave me a steal.....$1080 OTD!

I bought the 285/65/18 and the small bump up in size looks better in the wheel well.
In the one mile drive from his shop to my work they are quieter than the worn tires that came off, and seem to ride fine. I need to check the pressure.

They do look great...better then the original Terra's I had. Just remember I didn't build the tire...just recommended it! No reason not to get 45 to 50K miles out of them if taken care of.
