Lowering
Hey droopy88
I will be ordering my 20" Lightning ( chrome ) wheels this week.
I will be using 275-45-20 tires and will also be ordering a lowering kit from Hotchkis Performance 3/4 drop. There kit uses new front and rear springs and is about 650 dollars.
There phone# 562-907-7757.

I think the 2/4 is what I am after
I dont want to sink my back end too far cause, I mean I live in the boonies here and bumps can get pretty harsh out here, but I think I am either going with a Belltech or a Hotchkiss drop, depending on prices and packaging. I love these wheels though, they are so smooth, I mean around 100 mph my stockers started jumping around it was kinda like riding a toned down paint shaker, but I love these and people love them.

droopy88:
I went with a 3/4 drop and it looks good IMO since it keeps a slight rake in the truck where a 2/4 would be almost level. I have had no clearance issues, but I do take driveways and speedbumps slower now. I've only bottomed out in the rear twice but that was on an extreme speedbump and because the person who installed my drop kit didn't install the shorter bumpstops supplied in the kit! Also keep in mind the Roush trucks are lowered 3/3.5 and still have plenty of clearance between the ground and GFX/ bumper cover.

The Hotchkis F-150 kit is only a 2/3 drop. I wanted to get it but it wasn't enough drop for me, even though it gives better handling than the Belltech kit I got. Just FYI.

How low does it look??
I am just wondering how low it looks cause this is a true sport truck, not a G'ed out little Vato mobile (no offence) that the wheels go up past the fenderwells, I want it to be just enough to close up the gap with a little room left over for clearance from bumps, but I might look into it though, thanks for the suggestion flareside.

Lowering
Hey 99flareside
The lowering kit im talking about from Hotchkis Performance is a new kit that just came out. Look in the August and September issue of Sport Truck. There installing this kit on a 98 f150 extended cab. The kit uses 3" coil springs in front and 4" leaf springs in the back. They also have a new front and rear sway bar kit that they just came out with.
I hope this helps.
