Goodyear MTR's Recalled?

My buddy went to America's Tire to get 33 MTR's but was told they had been recalled...I have honestly heard so many good things about these tires, does anybody know why they would possibly be recalled? And now that they are which tire would stack up with them on the off road, KM2's?

I did a search at Goodyear, NHTSA, and on the web. The only Goodyear recall I could find was for Silent Armors. Don't know where America's Tire got there info, but I could find it nowhere. If it was announced to the re3tailers, I would would think there would be something out there.

Ya I don't know if its a new thing or not, my buddy had to get different tires though cause they wouldn't sell him the MTR's. Now my dad is trying to get MTR's from them and has to find different tires...just a cluster.

Check with other retailers. Even went to Tirerack and checked on some tires. Said in stock and available.

What size were you looking for?

He wants 35s but I'm lifting my f150 and would like to get some 33s. I have duratracs now and love them but at 33 inches the price is similar to the MTR's...might just go for the MTR's.

Just went to tirerack again. Every 33 and 35 I checked says in stock and available. I would try another retailer. If for no other reason than to verify what you were told.

Seems like the thing I need to do. Do you know anyone who would want a set of 4 31 in. goodyear duratracs? I need to sell mine if I'm going to buy bigger tires.

Sorry, can't help on the sale. Might try the classifieds here.

Same here. And for the record, the MT/R K's ROCK!! Be careful when you're shopping for MT/R's as the old design is still available; make sure you're getting the kevlar's below!

I work for a company-owned Goodyear shop, and I can tell you with 100% authority that the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar has NOT been recalled.

The only truck tires that have been recalled recently was the Wrangler SilentArmor in the LT designations.
