tire ply question

Ok first off i do know the difference in the ply rating of tires. Im currently running a 10 ply for the puncture resistance... but it makes the truck ride so rough. My truck is barely off road and if it is its just a gravel road. Is there anything wrong with going back to a 4 ply or should i stick with with at least a 6?

Well if you go back to P series tires, I can almost guarantee you will have more of a problem with flats on that gravel road. Load range C tires will definitely be better than P series, but availability may be a problem in the size you want.

You state you are using LR E tires (10 ply, although any more it is not really the number of plys). What is the max weight and max pressure of the tires? What pressure are you using?

Don't go below 45, and then only on an unloaded/lightly loaded truck. I would look at places like tirerack or discount for your size and see if they have any LR C tires. They will be a little less stiff.
To be honest, I would rather have the stiffer ride and tire strength.
