When I start the truck, the light comes on. So I know the bulb is working. However, whenever I apply the parking brake, the light doesn't come on. New ebrakes/cables installed two weeks ago, but problem existed before then.

Is the switch under the dash?

switch located on the pedal itself, switch should provide ground when pedal is down

 

Thanks Patman. Yeah I took a look at it. Pushed it up and down a few times and dowsed it with WD-40. Unplugged the connector and reattached it just to make sure it had good contact.

Seems to be functioning now.
