Problem with new wheels/tires

So, after hours of research on what wheel/tire combo to go with I ordered 20" XD Addicts (+18 offset) and 295/60/R20 Trail Grapplers. I know other guys are running this exact same combo with a little bit of trimming so I was expecting to have to trim a bit of plastic from the fender flare behind the front tire. Even after trimming the tires are rubbing a considerable amount. I don't think any amount of trimming is going to get them to work.

I am beginning to wonder if the offset is not what I ordered. Can anyone tell me how to verify that? I didn't see it stamped on the back of the wheel.

By the way, I have bilstein leveling shocks on front and rear. Front shocks are on highest setting.

Here is a pic (not a very good one) of the tire touching the fender well.

Wow, that is significant rubbing compared to mine. Do you have a pic of how far the wheels and tires stick out from the fenders? That would be an easy way to see if they sent you the -12 offset instead of the +18. Do you also have a pic with the whole truck in it? And you're sure whoever installed your Bilstein's put them on the highest setting?

Thanks for the response. I just received an email back from the vendor I purchased the wheels/tires from and they did indeed send me the wrong wheels. They are the -12 offset which would explain why they rub and stick out so far. I thought I was losing my mind there for a second.

They are going to send me the right wheels and pay to have the tires swapped locally.

Awesome. Stinks in the meantime, but glad there was an explanation. Will you be able to get by until the new wheels get in? Is that rub in the picture during turns only?

The rub was during turns only but I put the original wheels back on once I realized it was going to be very difficult to drive around with the new wheels on. A nice way to waste 2 hours of my time in the garage last night.

It was pretty disappointing to put my stock 18" wheels/tires back on. They look so tiny now that I have seen the truck with 20 inch wheels and 34" tires.

Hopefully in another week or so I will be posting up pictures with the new wheels/tires.

Good call on your part, but that would be agonizing!!! To be so close and then have to go backwards. Sorry to hear that, but it'll be worth it when the correct ones come in! I want to see the 20" addicts. Really considered going with those. I just have loved the monsters from the get go and finally had the truck to put them on. Anyway, glad you got it resolved and good luck during the wait!
