Any suggestions on all-terrain tires?

I want to upgrade my stock goodyears to 33" all terrains. Has anyone used **** Cepeck, Cooper ATS3 or Goodyear silent armor? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is all new to me. Thanks for your help

The **** Cepek FC II is an excellent tire. I'd also consider the BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo AT, Pro Comp Xtreme AT, Mickey Thompson ATZ and the Goodyear Duratrack.

Take a look at Kelly Safari TSrs. I love mine, at 35000 and still probably have another 25 in them. Gereat in rain, snow, ice, mud, sand, and dry. Kelly is owbned by GY, and these are similar to duratracs.

Thanks for the help. I really like the look of the **** cepeck and cooper stmaxx. I just looked up the kelly tires, they are a good looking tire as well. I am shocked to hear you still have that many miles left on them. It sounds like a tire I would like considering all the pavement time I get.

I sell a ton of the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs at my shop. Haven't had a customer complain about them yet.

Also, right now Goodyear has a rebate on them. $60 on a set of 4, or double it to $120 if you have a Goodyear credit card.

BFG AT's KO's. IMO, best AT tire on the market.

They are a load range D. Biggest thing is proper air pressure. I calculated my load versus the max laoad, aback figured the air pressures from that. I also contacted a +Kelly and application engineer agreed with my calculations.

I'll second this, especially if you're primarily a street driver. The treadwear can't be beat, very good road manners, and does fair in most off road conditions. I didn't think they cleaned out too well though. The other set of tires I've had experience with are the Goodyear Duratracs. I think they give up a little on the road for better offroad and snow performance, but you can't go wrong with either.

I agree. You can easily get 60,000 miles outta BFG AT KO's with normal care.

Since you mentioned SilentArmours, every thing I've ever heard about them is extremely positive. I'd pick the DuraTrac's if I wanted that more aggressive look, but you will be very well off with either one. I like both of these over the AT's, especially in the looks department.

Love my cooper discover at3's .
Had them about 6 months and no signs of wear at all and have performed great in snow and wet conditions and no road noise on pavement.

I've had the Silent Armors since late 06, never a problem, great wear, great in snow and rain. Unfortunetely, can't comment on mud since I really haven't been in much. They get my vote for sure, BFG's AT also.

I just ordered the Pro Comp Xtreme AT. Have the Pro Comp Xtreme MT on my Yota without have a complaint or issue. A true 3ply sidewall off road tire. Yota use the Goodyear Dura Trac for winters. Another good option.
