Brake pedal soft

I recently traded my wrangler for a 97 F-150 with a 4.6L engine,2 wheel drive,I think it has ABS.Anyway I get this truck and notice the brake pedal very spongy and soft.It still stopped fine(I did give a lil more room though). So I drive it ,feeling it out when it starts to pull to the passenger side.I get some new pads, fronts.when I remove the old set, they are only half worn? And when I used a C-clamp and block of wood to press in the cylinders they would only go half way in,I had to use 2 C-clamps and really crank them in.So I bleed all the brakes, front and rear,on the driver side I get about half the fluid that I get from the others and my wife says that when we bleed the front driver side ,that pedal goes to the floor slower than the others.I replaced the brake line that feeds the caliper and comes from a block with 2 other ports.I got more fluid when bleeding and the wife says the pedal felt like the others. No air in the lines, new front pads and pedal is still soft and wants to go to the floor.Any Ideas?Could this be a bad caliper or master cylinder?Help Please!!!
