Rise Industries never produced a 6" Lift. Now i can go 37" tires.

So it is time for me to get new tires and i want to go bigger then 35". So i e-mailed Rize to find out if a 37" or 38" tires would fit my 6" lift ( all along i thought i have a 6" lift because this is what i ordered and this is in my receipt too) and they responded that they NEVER produced a 6" lift for 2004-2008 Ford F-150. I even sent a link from their website showing that they offer a 6" lift for my F-150. They reitereated that they never produced a 6" lift, so here i have a 8" lift not even knowing it.

I am thinking of getting a XD Monster 20X10 with 5.03 Backspace (Rize recommends 4.5 Backspace) and -12mm offset, wrapped with Toyo Open Country MT 37x13.50R20.

Have a a couple of concerns:
1. Will i have issue with the Wheel & Tire Set-up ?
2. Do i really need to change my gears to 4.88 for my 2006 F150 FX4 , Considering i don't tow anything. Mostly used for City and Freeway Driving.
3. If i have to change gear, How long can i keep on using my current 3.73 LS with causing any major damaged.

Feedback will always be appreciated, Thanks.

I'd ask Rize if you can use 5 inches of backspaicng. It may not be an issue with 20's like it would be 17's. I'm sure you will need to regear but I don't think you will hurt anything.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The receipt I got from Tom's Tires states that the Lift is a 6(Six) Inch tires. My receipt is dated 11/08/2006 with a unit cost of $ 2,408.00.

I also remember when I was doing my research in your website that you did have a 6" lift, Was it discontinued ?.

Also, Is there away I can physically check or measure the lift to verify if it's a 6" or 8".

Thanks.

Ramon

We never made a 6" kit for the f-150 so you must have a 8" kit. You can fit 37" tires with our 8" kit. Gio
