Will Wheels from 2009-2012 fit my 2008?

Hello, Wondering if anybody can help me. I have a 2008 F150 XL basic 2WD with the plain jane steel wheels. I am looking to buy a nice set of factory wheels for it... maybe some "take-offs" that include the TPMS sensors and tires. Most of the advertisements and information I see (I even searched this forum) indicate that I could use wheels from 2004-2008 (including wheels from the Expedition and Navigator). What changed after 2008 that would prevent me from using wheels from 2009-2012? Are the lug nuts compatible? Also, I am not sure if my truck has TPMS (I just purchased it and my son is driving it while away at college). What year did Ford start with the TPMS on the F150? Do the TPMS sensors in other years work with my 2008? I don't want to buy a nice set of newer wheels and find out they do not work or that will cost me a lot of money to make work. Also if anybody has an extra set of wheels for sale that will fit my truck, please let me know! Thanks for any help. Thanks again, Sheldon

Yes you have TPMS. All vehicles 2007 on have them. The 2009-2012 wheels will fit your truck, however the TPMS sensors on them will not work with your system. You will have to move your current sensors, or purchase valve stem type sensors that will work with the 08. If you move your current sensors, you will need to purchase bands to mount them on the new wheels. The bands are not reusable. If you want to get wheels with sensors that will work, you will need to purchase 07 or 08 wheels that have the sensors on them. Then either go to the dealer to program the sensors to the truck or get a reset tool yourself and do it. Reset tool costs about $25.

I have a 08 and got wheels from a 2012 model, they fit fine.
Tpms reuse yours in the new wheels , buy the bands off eBay ( $55 inc ship)
