Wheel question
Wheel question
I have an 06 f150 with a 6" pro comp lift. My current wheels are 18x10 with -25 offset. I really want to pull the tires in as much as possible. Pro comp states that you can only go as high as 5" bs. The only wheels I want are from moto metal and they come in 4.5 and 5.71 on an 18x9. I want to get as close to 5 as possible. Is there any work around to keep from rubbing the control arm? Does anyone have a similar setup that works? Please help.
5.21" is still more than 5" so you could still possibly have a rubbing issue. And spacer's like that are generally a bad idea. IF your gonna run spacers you need the kind that bolt on to your old lugs and and have new ones pressed in for your wheel to mount too but I don't think they make them under 1.5" because of the length of the factory lugs.
From what he's trying to do to get to around a 5" backspace it'd be okay since it'd simulate a wheel with that, if he was trying to push it to like 4" or less then the wheel bearing would see a lot more stress. Unfortunately for the OP though the spacers for under 1-1.5" or so aren't the safest way because they aren't the kind with the studs pressed in.
