07 F-150 FX4 w/2" Hell Bent Steel Leveler
Hey All,
Just signed up. Thanks for having me.
Had my truck from new and has 72k on the stock goodyear AT/Ss.
Bone stock 5.4L, 133" wheelbase & 3.73 ltd slip.
I put a Hell Bent Steel 2" leveling kit and a 1" rough country block in the rear. I have rotor pros slotted/cross drilled rotors and dark shadow grey accent color on the fender flairs and a magnaflow 12225 muffler on the stock pipe.
Time for some new shoes and I want to go big....
A few questions for you guys:
1) I would like to put 295/70R18s and can only find Nitto Terra Grapplers. Is that my only choice? NTB and Tire Rack say so.
2) Any rubbing/bumping issues ?
3) Does it make the truck feel like a 4 cylinder spinning those tires? I do lots of highway driving so lower rpm = better mileage?
4) Any recommendations if I put the 34s on the truck?

hi welcome to the site, you will see 295/70/18 is a nice size on your body style of truck and a lot of people run that size on their leveled 4x4's, 3.73 gears will turn them just fine. you could get nitto terra grapplers as well as the trail grapplers in that size, with a leveling kit you could run up to a 35" tire on stock wheels with no rubbing.
only recommendation would be to get a programmer to recalibrate your speedometer as well as a little more power

thats if you run a cold air intake it will run lean until you reprogram the computer, i had a superchip on my 2003 5.4 and it was pretty good for the money, i see a lot of people mounting EDGE programmers on their trucks, i have never owned a 3v so i couldnt tell you which is better, check out the programmer forum on this site for pointers
