need opinions on wheel bearing gone bad

So I had new tires installed about 10000 miles ago and the ****s put my wheels on my 04 fx4 so tight i snapped two lug wrenches, two extensions one being a snap on and in the end had to use a breaker bar and a 4ft pipe and some he-man strength to bust them loose just to do my rear breaks. so this past week I notice it seems like my ABS was engaging for no reason and my breaks were slipping. Fast forward I made it to my buddies shop with it and on the front tire where the bearing is bad the lugs were so tight it ate into the aluminum and the lug itself and my mechanic buddy says it ovaled the holes a little bit. He couldnt even break them with the impact he uses to break semi lugs with. My question is could this overtightening have led to the wear of the bearing? I have 160000 miles on it anyways so it could just be coincidence but Im sure it doesnt help. I have the passenger front side left to bust loose and Im gonna have the guys that did my tires break them so they see what they did tho im sure they will deny it to the end. So lets hear some thoughts please and thanks.

Also, do i have to replace the whole assembly or can i just do the bearing or what?

update..

ok so got the drivers side bearing replaced, it ate away some of the plastic ring on the inside of the abs assembly that is on the back, at least thats what im going to refer to it as im not sure of the proper name, anyways the outside seal is fine so my mechanic buddy says it shouldnt be an issue, any thoughts? also, get this ****. on the way home, the passenger side is starting to make the same screech just not as loud yet and not as intense. wtf both bearings go out at the same time. Does this give creedence to the overtightening theory or what?
