Wheel width question
Wheel width question
New to the forum here.
Just bought a used set of 305-55-20 nitto tires mounted on hot wheels rims. i have a couple of questions.
#1 They came off a 2008, will they fit on my 2005? Is the back spacing the same? Will i need a wheel spacer?
#2 I have a brand new set of 285-55-20 bfg's. would the fit on the Hot Wheels rims or would the be to narrow?
#3 He ran these through the winter and got pretty pitted up. Is there a good way to clean these up other than a chrome cleaner and a power ball.
I'll probably powder them in eventually but I'd like to clean them up the best i can. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site. You havn't given us any info on your wheels other than the name brand. But, the fitment on the 2005 and 2008's are the same. Both use the same bolt pattern/backspacing on their OEM wheels. If the wheel/tire combo you purchased fit the 2008, they will fit your truck if the trucks are set up similar. (like stock, leveled etc.)
I'm not sure about the previous truck and i lost his phone number. My truck is a 4x4 and i bought a rough country leveling kit. Any thougts about the wheel width? I checked around and found that a 285 tire fits a 8-10" rim and a 305 fits a 9-10" rim. Does that sound right?
