100TH Post and some shiny objects

First of all, what an awesome forum, so much good info, thank you all who have helped both directly and indirectly. I've been pretty indecisive when it comes to rims and tires, but yesterday a bunch of large boxes ended up on my porch, and today the truck has a new look.

Goodyear Duratracs in 285/60/20 with 20x8.5 Rockstars +10 offset

I know a lot of you feel the Rockstar is played out, but I fell in love the first time I saw them...especially the chrome. No one around here has them and they're fairly tough to spot in a google search compared to some of the other popular rims.

The guys at the tire shop that installed everything were as pumped as I was, it was nice to see them take so much pride in a vehicle not belonging to them. They snapped a bunch of pics and will be featuring it on their wesite, which of course I was able to have my arm twisted into agreement

Hope ya like

Just about exactly what I was going to say! I'll add a few words:

Your truck is really coming along, my man! That hood, those wheels/tires, the exhaust, etc....this one learns well!

LOVE the chrome rockstars BTW, and this compliment comes from a guy who is not usually a fan of rockstars. Actually, I don't remember seeing the chrome ones on a truck yet, but they REALLY work well on your truck! Great choice!

And MGD is right. It's been very enjoyable to read your posts, watch your truck progress, and to interact with in general.

Congrats on everything, man. You're doing very well!

Yeah -- there's no doubt that way too many guys are running Rockstars, but having them in chrome helps tone down the "me too" factor. I'd say the size of your rim-and-tire package is perfect for your truck -- looks good.....

P.S. If you get tired of that hood, I know a guy who'll buy it immediately!

Thank you all for the compliments!

MGD - you're for sure one of those that have helped directly! I get a big kick out of your sense of humor. I would love to see your photo collection, because you always have some off the wall photo that is subject appropriate.

Dewser - I appreciate your advice and commentary for my exhaust. Your exhaust
note has set a tonal benchmark in my head. I also gave the chrome monster strong consideration, but didnt want to copy you too much. They would have looked real good im sure, but I think the rockstar fits the overall look a little more with the wide spokes. I doubt I will ever
lose that hood, but you are first in line my friend!

If I've managed to impress you two, I must be doing it right!

To everyone else, thank you for your kind words. I knew rockstars were a little risky, but I put in a lot of time studying wheels, tires, stance, offset/bs, and so on. I am a huge fan of wchamp7s truck, especiall the stance. I wanted to get close to that as I could with my own materials. I get lots of comments on the hood whenever I post a pic. This truck was a right place right time impulse purchase, I probably wouldn't have picked a hood like that on my own. It has grown on me every day and I now can't imagine owning another truck without it! Thank you all again, I really appreciate it!
