2011 tire question

Hey I have a 2011 EB fx4 screw 3.73 gears. I am thinking about putting some 285/65/18 nitto terra grapplers on my stock wheels. Has anybody else put similar tires on their EB and how did it affect you're fuel economy ? On paper there is very little difference between the two , 275/65/18 vs 285/65/18. Thanks mark

With the 3.73 gears it may actually stay the same if you do much highway driving or even improve as it will effectively higher your gear ratio and make your rpms slightly lower at highway speeds. The dealership can actually recalibrate your speedometer for such a slight change in tire size, if you even care to. Real small change in tire size like you say.

@TOOLOUD

Did you go ahead and get the 285/65/18 Nitto Grapplers? I am looking to replace my stock GoodYears after37K, and was looking at these same tires (as well as the BFG's in the same size). Would like to see a pic.

I replaced the factory tires on my '09 with 285x65x18 terra grapplers. Keep in mind you are switching to a load range E tire. These tires are heavier so you will see a reduction in your fuel economy.
