Just got truck lifted and 37.13.50 18 inch toyo mud terrains put on, 4.88 gears on it, i got sct tuner that the lift shop put on, i checked with gps seems really acurate, so i got bored and was looking on settings and they have gears set right and the tires are set at 585 revs per mile, everything i find on here shows thats too much...but speedo is right, i have not checked the actual vehicle mileage to measure if thats correct but i would have to assume its correct if speedo is right? Am i worrying about something i shouldnt be and just leave it alone?
I would have thought it should have been bore along the 560 range. Flip on a portable gps, and compare that to your speedo. Best speed checker out there...... unless you got a buddy with flashing red lights on his "other car".
ok ill have to try it, i mean the shop that did all the installs put the settings in so i assume they are right, i downloaded ap for my phone and its accurate with that but i will put my gps in and compare

The real "bad" here is that you can't, probably more accurately...won't, take the tiny amount of time it takes to look this up yourself.

Actually Heat, Dewser was wrong in his last comment. The info you need is actually TWO clicks away from the link he provided. Click the link, click on sizes and specs, then click the "see complete sizes and specs" blue letters that are there. I have spent enough time on tire makers websites over the last few years to look for these links, and I'm guessing Dewser has too. For the record they list 560 as the # you are looking for also.
That said, if they are listing 585 as the #, and it is accurate, then it makes me wonder if they have input the correct gear size into the SCT tuner, or if 4.88 was an option in there. They may have either not adjusted for the actual gears you have, or compensated for the largest selection that was available in the device. Next time you plug in the device, have a look at the gear selection they have made for you. I'm a little curious.

I would just adjust the revs per mile as closely as possible in the SCT. Use the figure from the Toyo website I posted for you. Remember to account for about a 3% decrease for squish factor. See what happens.
