Cooper AT3 275/70-17 C or E?

Hi guys,

I haven't posted in forever, but I just sold my 295/70-17 (D) Cooper STT's and I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of 275/70-17 AT3s. They're available in C or E load ratings and I'm having a hard time choosing.

I don't go off-road, tow or load the bed often, so I'm leaning toward C. If anyone has any thoughts, I'm all ears.

Thanks

Even if you towed went offroad etc, the LR C would be more than adequate. Only if you have the 8200lb GVWR would I say stay away from the LR C. Just make sure to run the LR C between 40 and 45. I would start at 40. The LR E would also be fine, just a little more harsh on the ride, but that would not be a great difference. Those would have to be run at around 50.

A LR C in that size is what came OE on my truck, and on many F150s over the years, Now they have mostly P series (LR B) tires. I am not fond of those at all.
While a LR D or E is overkill (but fine nontheless), the P series tires are just adequate. I much prefer LT series.

Let us know how they handle ,especially in wet. They are one of my choices for my next set of tires.
