Offset/backspacing question

Hi guys, I still don't have my truck yet, but hopefully very very soon I will. One of the things I'd want to do is get some new wheels. I got Soft 8's on my jeep, and I know about the backspacing and whatnot for a jeep because of fender flares and stuff, but I don't know about on the trucks. I don't want to put aftermarket flares on, so what offset and backspacing would I need so that a 285/75/16 will end up being rougly 1/2-3/4" sticking outside of the fenderwell? Also, I certainly don't want the tires to rub on the frame or inner fender or anything. Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!!

I have 275-65 18 with +35 offset xd monsters and have about 1/2 to 3/4 sticking out. Take a look at my profile and then my pics. Your tires are a little wider, so make an adjustment accordingly.

Yeah, that's about what I'd be looking for. The tires I'd be looking at are about a half inch wider than yours so, I would need less of an offset. Thanks for the comparison!
