How about a PICS with Specs post?

Im about ready to purchase some new rims & tires and would love to see some pics of every ones setups.

Alot of the pics posts just have pics and then someone will ask what rims are they or how much lift or what size tires or what kind of tires or what offset or backspacing on the rims or how much do they stick out or any rubbing issues & did you have to trim any.

So how about a thread with Great looking truck pics with lots of info given so no one has to ask. Might cut down on alot of future threads of .... WILL THESE FIT??

I dont want this to turn in to a debate but would love to hear your opinions on your tire selections as well.

So post up them favorite pics of your trucks and give as much info as you can please.

Size & Rim Model
offset & back spacing
Tire & size and your opinion of the tire choice
What lift or level you have
How far they stick out and any rubbing issues you encountered
and anything else you think might help

here are some pics of my new rims and tires i got yesterday. tires i bought used to get me through the winter then i want to buy brand new again, probably some more atz's they seem to ride very nice and they are very quite. but ive got a 2" level, the tires are mickey thompson atz's 33x12.5x18. i have no rubbing issues at all which is awesome. and now the rims.. they are 18" mayhem havoc 8020, i havent seen ANYONE with these so i thought i would be different and see how they are. the offset is +18, they stick out probably an inch maybe and inch and a half.

im only 17 so id say im doing pretty good lol its and 08 fx4

Great idea. Iam looking to replace my factory 20's in the summer and this tread will help with all the backspacing and offset questions.

315x70x17 BFG AT's on 17x9 American Racing Crater's with 5 inches of BS. Minor rubbing when turning even after trimming. Truck leveled 2 1/2 inches. Pic was taken in 2005. Lower pic is with 295x70x17 Toyo MT's on same wheel's, much better fit with no rubbing. My old '04 is gone but not forgotten!

Thanks for the posts and great looking trucks.

Hopefully more will contribute to this post to help make choosing wheels & tires easier.

Factory 18" rims
295/75/18 nitto trail grapplers
The tires stick out just a tad. Maybe 1/2"
2.5" leveling kit
Tires rub ever so slightly at full lock either way.

I am very impressed with these tires so far. have about 6k miles on them and have rotated them twice. No abnormal wear to speak of.

Wheels have 5.43 inches of bs and a +25 offset. Wish I would have went with larger tires and mt tires as they look way better. The nittos are good tires, just look pretty bland in my opinion. Details in signature.

Thought I'd bump this back to the top in hopes for more replies.

Still havent pulled the trigger on my wheels & tires yet but real close.
last 2 weeks have been very frustrating deciding what tires to get.

Was ready to pull the trigger on 17x9 rims with +30 offset (6.18 BS) with 305/70/17 Terra grapplers but that size tire is an E rated tire and worried the ride will be to harsh. Plus the extra tire weight will kill my MPG from what I'm rreading.

I think that tire size will be perfect too but unfortunately there is no other tire choices in that size. Pretty much a 34x12 tire.

I'm afraid going down in size will not give the look i was hoping for, especially since i got a 2.5" front spacer and 3" rear block.

My next choice in tire looks to be the cooper Discover AT3 in 315/70/17 (34.33x12.6).
With that size tire I'm worried it will look to beefy on a 17" rim and also worried about clearance with the 6.18 back space.

Paw Paw's pic of his 04 with 315/70/17 BFG TA's looks great though but ive seen other pics of setups that just has to much sidewall IMO.

I guess I could put the white letters out to help break up the sidewall but thats not really what i wanted to do.

Man this stuff is aggravating. I've got invoices sitting in my email and I'm just afraid to drop $2000 and be disapointed in my choice.

If anyone has a similar setup I would really appreciate some pics & specs.

Put my new rims & tires on this past week and started a thread on it but figured I should post here too.

All specs are in my sig and I have no rubbing whatsoever from lock to lock and no trimming was needed. The CP AT3's are 315/70/17 and measured 34.33x12.6 on the cooper website but I measured them at 34.5x12. I have a good 1" of clearance everywhere except at full lock it gets a little closer to the upper control arm at the front but still hasnt rubbed.

The tires are 8 ply (D rated) and they feel great on the rode and next to no noise either. They are a new tire and have gotten great reviews so far.

With this setup I'm only sticking out about an inch farther than stock.

My sig lists the 3" rear block that will replace my stock 2" rear block but its not on yet in these pics.
