2005 F-150 2WD front brake calipers

I just recently replaced front rotors, front brakes, and front calipers. You will need a 36mm spindle nut socket that you can get from autozone and a haynes manual of course will go a long ways. I started out without the haynes manual and made a critical/easy mistake. I had help from a neighbor so the replacements would go by twice as fast since he has done calipers before. With that said we ended up putting the new calipers on the wrong sides and the bleed valves were on the bottom causing air to not be able to leave the lines and the function of the calipers were par. After buying the haynes manual, the picture showed the proper installation and we swapped the calipers and bled the lines and all is well now.

Be sure to torque every thing properly...I had to search online since the haynes manual didn't specify. Also, I learned something new; After seeing tires put on by tire shops time and time again, I didn't know how crucial it is to properly torque your lug nuts. If you don't you will warp your rotors and bad joo joo from there.

I ended up flushing all the brake lines thinking that some air had ended up somewhere causing the braking problem. A lot of very BAD brake fluid came out that look like greenish black probably from brake dust(not the clear yellow that was the new stuff). Bad brake fluid can have water in it causing it to boil and mess up your braking. So be sure to flush out all the lines every so often...come to find out it is really easy, you will need a second person to pump the brakes though.

Just wanted to help out those changing their braking system on a 2005 F-150 2WD. Since there wasn't a post out there, this one should help out the next noob when they go to seach on the internet for help.

Shalom to all!
May Yahweh bless you and may you come to know His Son, Yahushua =D
