What about the spare?

What about the spare?
Since tires are only good for so many years regardless of tread left are you guys swapping out full tread spares after a certain amount of time? I've got one tire with 5/32" tread and was considering swapping it out with the "new spare", it doesn't look like it's even seen pavement, but it's 5yrs old. Other tires are 7/32", 9/32", 9/32". Truck was that way when I bought it, odd that one tire has so much less tread than the others, Possibly the previous owner had to replace one of the tires due to a blowout before changing the other 3?
Ultimate goal is to run these as long as possible then switch to 265/70/17's when the time comes. My cost now would be to switch the rims of the "new" spare and the 5/32" tire, in order to get as much use out of the current set as possible. On these trucks is it typical to wear out the fronts faster than the rear? Not much towing/heavy hauling is done with this truck. Put the best on the front and let them wear to about even then rotate?

$26 alter the tires are swapped. Should be able to get another year or so out of the tires, probably will go to 265/70/17's next year unless I get a good deal on some 18's or 20's rim/tire sets between now and then. Time to sand down at least the front tire that's on the same side as the black wall tire.
