Wheel spacer question

I am getting some moto metal 961's. They come in 4.5 and 5.71 BS. I do not like how much my tires stick out and want to bring them in. Pro comp only allows 5 inches of BS with their 6" lift. I'm trying to make the 5.71" backspaced wheel fit like a 5" backspaced wheel. Would a 15-20mm wheel spacer work for a 5.71 BS wheel or will it tear up my truck?

I wouldnt use a spacer, the wheel will be pushed out to far on the lugs and will only have a few threads holding it on. It might be ok if it was a street queen but even then Id be worried every time the truck moved.

I see guys getting 1" to 2" spacers but this is only 20mm. Will it really make that big of a difference? I just want to keep my wheels from rubbing the control arms at full lock.

The 1 inch and 2 inch are more like wheel adapters. They have a set of lugs on the spacer

You have a point. Looks like I'll have to find some wheels I like with 5" BS.

I know how ya feel, I found a nice set of wheels that I really liked but they were not lift kit friendly (I have future lift plans)
