noob question

Hey guys, I've got a question about tire width. I have a 2002 f150 with the stock fx4 wheels. Im about to replace my tires and want 305/70/17 but keep finding 305/65/17. Would those be too wide for a stock wheel?

thanks!

305/65/17 is 12" wide and 32.6" tall. They should be ok on the stock rims. Is your truck leveled or stock height?

Both tires will fit/work fine using your OEM wheels. You are basically comparing a 33x12.50 (305/65-17) and a 34x12.50 (305/70-17).
