Will Wheel/Tire package work?
Will Wheel/Tire package work?
I have a 2010 Supercrew Lariat, and I'm about to install a Rough Country 2.5 inch level, and would also like to install either 305/60/18 or 305/70/18 Mickey Thompson Baja Radial ATZs on Fuel Throttle 18x9 Bolt Pattern Dual Drilled 6x135 / 6x5.50 Offset 20 rims. My knowledge is extremely limited in this department, and I would really appreciate any assistance in making sure I have a set-up that will work, before purchasing this wheel/tire combo. Thanks!
Generally 295/70/18 is an extremely tight squeeze with just a level, so I would think the 305/70/18 will probably rub. The 295s fit with stock wheels and the wheels you refer to are pretty close to stock. The bigger the tire, the harder it will be on your drivetrain, but by all means it can be done. It seems that most go with 33s with aftermarket wheels and up to 35x12.50 with stock wheels or same as stock backspacing. There is a guy that recently leveled the same body style as yours, and went with 275/70/18 that looked good or the 305/60/18 would look great as well.
jerrybizzle-thanks for the info on this. I do a fair amount of highway driving (to Boise on weekends) so wanted to no go completly MT...but was looking for a little more aggressive stance. I really appreciate the help!
What, not much going on in mountain home on the weekend? Jk. U in the military I assume. Go broncos.
LOL!! Not really! Yeah...in the AF so going to Boise and getting away from the area kinda helps keep us sane. As for the wheel/tire package, I'm going to go with 305/60/18s. Once I get her all complete I'll post some pics and look to my next project on the truck...an UnderCover SE Smooth Tonneau cover. Thanks again!
