275/70/18 on a 2wd with no level?

Okay so its time for new tires again. I'm currently running a 275/65/18 on my stock 2007 F-150 4x2 with no problems but wondered if I could fit a 275/70/18 under there with no rubbing or problems. I think they are only about and inch bigger, but didn't want tot order the tires then end up with a mess. The only reason that I am looking at the bigger size is that for some reason the BFG All Terrains are cheaper in the larger size.
Thanks,
Kevin

Are u against a level? If u put one on before u get tires, u can get the alignment that would be necessary with the new tires. Level spacers should only be around a hundred or less and I think would make your truck look better and then u really wouldn't have fitment issues.

How hard are they to install? I wouldn't mind doing it myself, but don't really want to pay to have it done. What is the most popular brand/kit people use?

the spacers aren't that hard to install... I say do it, cuz it makes the truck look better!!

Autospring (AS as folks on here call em)... look for their Ebay store...
Hell bent steel (HBS)... they have ebay page as well

If you look at my albums, I ran 285/65/18 (the same ones I have on now) without a level, and had zero rubbing issues... but then... I leveled... and have reduced my rubbing issues by 100 fold :-P

Good Luck!!

i have a 2wd with 2.5 AS leveling kit with an AS AAL. 275/70/18 fits no problem and looks better.

spacer is super easy to install and just takes basic knowledge of hand tools.only takes a couple hours in the driveway.

That does look a lot better! Did you put those tires on before or after the leveling kit? And do you have to have any special tools to install the leveling kit? All I have are basic hand tools, no spring compressors or anything like that.

i put the kit on first then a couple days later the tires.
you do not need a spring compressor bc the AS spacer sits on top of the strut assembly.
here is the AS website where i bought mine. http://autospringcorp.com/index.php?...ndex&cPath=1_5
