squeaking, brakes?
I have a 2001 F150, and i have squealing going on when I'm accelerating or cruising. It stops when i step on the brakes. I just had (literally just yesterday) front pads and rotors replaced, and mechanic said i have 30% left in back. Squeal is coming from rear of vehicle, and not only annoying, but slightly worrisome. Drive shaft and U-joints seem fine, just replaced joint not to long ago...
Any suggestions?
Someone told me to try backing up and slamming brakes to try and jar it another direction, no dice there. Not sure what else to do. Also been told that 30% is fine, should last awhile. HELP!

Squealing when accelerating sounds like a fan belt maybe? Are you sure its coming from the rear?
Maybe try jacking it up, removing a rear wheel, and seeing if it spins free or if something is rubbing. If its squeaking at the rear brakes then something must be rubbing...
