Ok, so with all the help on wheel size and the affects of different sizes of wheels/tires, I think that I am leaning toward 17" wheels and 295/70/17 tires. Not 100% for sure though. I gotta figure out the backspacing issue so I can get the wheel/tire to stick out flush, or even a little past my OEM fender flares on my 2010 4x4 F150 Supercrew with 2" level. If any of you have some advice and/or photos of your truck with chrome wheels, please post! I really like the XD Monsters in chrome, but they don't come in 17". Also, the Fuel Throttle and Pro Comp 6089 look good. Any advice and pics would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

personally i would go with at least an 18" rim only because there is more rim & tire choice. i just went thru this with my 2003 a few weeks ago. i ended up getting the chrome 18x9 (-12 offset) Fuel Hostage mounted on 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. the Throttles just came out and i didn't want to wait 2 months, besides no one around my area is running the Hostage. I got a good deal from "rimzoneonline.com".

There are a lot of guys on here that can get you exactly what you are needing for your year truck to get the look you want. i wanted the exact same thing as you do, widest tire without a lift but did not stick way out.

Ok, so I have decided to stick with 17" wheel and have decided to go with the Ballistic Hostel 17x9. I found a couple of pics and they look awesome! I just have to make sure about the backspacing/offset issue and then comes the easy part.

This is a link to the Ballistic Hostel wheel. The second link is to the Helo Maxx 6. I can only find the Helo Maxx 6 with a +10 offset. I am tempted to go with an 18 x9 instead of the 17x9. Members FASTFRANK and REDHT GT on here have the 18x9 Ballistic Hostels and they look sharp. Member mSaLL50 has the Helo Maxx 6, and they look sweet on his setup. Opinions on these two wheels would be great. I can't make up my mind on the offset. I don't know if 0 offset/5.0" backspacing is too much, of if +10 or +12 offset/5.4" or 5.5" backspacing will be enough??? I am thinking the 18x9 with 0 offset/5.0" backspace with a 295/65/18 tire, so that I stay close to a 33" tire without getting too wide. Opinions?????????????

I found out that Goodyear is the only tire manufacturer making the 295/65/18, so that is no longer an option for me. Looks like a 17x9 wheel with 295/70/17 tires. I have only found a couple of options for wheels with 0 offset. The Ballistic Hostel is one and the XD Crank. A link to the Ballistic Hostel is in the post above. Here is a link to the XD Crank.
