Is it possible to separate the hub from the rotor on the brakes of a 2wd 02 F150??

so is mine.. but i'm wondering is there a way to separate the 2? I have a set of brakes for the front but they don't have a hub..? apparently they sent me the wrong part but i want to try to make it work.. looks like a 4wd rotor.

Yeah that's a 4wd rotor. Why not just return and get the correct part?

There is a conversion you can do so that the 4-WD Rotors will work. Do a search for it, I've seen it some where, just can't remember right now.

Don't try to put those on your hubs or you might be buying new ones.

because i have to pay to ship them back to return them and the company is in Cali and I live on the other coast, in SC so return shipping makes it more expensive than it's worth

Centric sells a 2 piece kit for 04 and up, don't know if they have for the 97-03. Check over at RockAuto, they for one carry them so hopefully you'll find what you need. Good luck.

If they sent you the wrong part when you actually ordered the correct part they should pay for the shipping to return the part and ship the correct ones out. Time is something they can not correct though, you would still have to wait about two weeks most likely to get the right parts.

they sent me the part I ordered, but the part I ordered (because the site told me that part # was compatible with my truck) is actually not compatible with my 2wd F150.

maybe i'll look over @ rock auto

well i checked the catalog under brake/wheel hub and i went through the list of parts and all of the applications were for a 4wd truck.. not sure if that's what I'll have to use since it is a 4wd rotor, but my TRUCK isn't 4wd. sent the guys an email..maybe we'll get sumthin out of it...

wish i could jus sell these damn rotors!

edit: jus got an email back from the guy over there and he said they don't sell anything that would make the rotor work.. guess i got my answer

Centric sells 2WD Rotors, that convert from a single piece rotor/wheelhub/bearing to two piece design.

You order the part and it will come with 2 pieces, from then on you can order the 4WD rotors which are much cheaper.

It also includes the 2, 36mm nus that you need to torque to 300ft pounds.

Go to centricparts.com look on the parts catalog will tell you all the part numbers you can order from rock auto for good pricing.

Should be about 200 each, but the 4WD rotors from now on will be about 100.
