When my current BFG's wear out and after I get my lift kit I was going to try the new red letter General Grabbers. Problem is I have a blue truck. How do you think red letter tires would look on a blue truck? Thoughts comments appreciated!

I think the red would look good on a blue truck, depending on what type of wheels. My friend has a 03 chevy 1500 with a 6" lift and 35" red letter grabbers and Mickey Thompson Classic bullet hole wheels. At first, I didn't like it too much because his truck is tan, but then he went and got the wheels powdercoated black on the inside with a red lip and they look great. Maybe post a pic of your truck so some people can give you some more opinions.

To me the red letters on the General Grabbers look pink. Not good.

I've got General Grabbers and they are the best tire ever... never had a problem in dry, wet, snow or ice... and the treadwear is beyond excellent. Mine still look like new after 15k.

Lol I know I just saw it in a 4x4 magazine and the ad said "raised black lettering"

Just saying if hes concerned with the red theres always the standard black wall

I'm not sure the red on a blue truck is a great idea. On a red truck, sure. Even on a black truck, ok, but blue? nah, not for me. Marshall has those on his red FX4.

Yeah I'm not 100 percent sure about the red on blue either. However I'm a big fan of the red letter grabbers. I plan on getting a set myself after I put a lift kit on. I think for it to fit with the blue you're going to have to get creative with some other accessories.

I think blue with red can look rather killer. A lot of the new tacomas that come in blue have a black or red sports4x4 decal sticker and the red looks rather decent imo. I used to be huge into imports and saw a large combination of red with blue. To me it looked good because it contrasted IMO decently well.. But also because it isn't super usual to see. Thats my opinion though

I was thinking the same thing! I think the red would be different enough to kinda "break up" the blue, black and chrome on my truck. I currently have the tan lariat stripe but when I get my 04-08 badges soon I will delete it.

Do you know if both sides the tires are red, or is one side black? Just like a lot of tires with RWL, the other side is black. I am not sure how it will look till they get on there, your tail lights might help, maybe do something creative with your 4x4 sticker. Anyways point I am getting at, if they have a red side and a black side I say go for it. Worse case if you do not like how it looks you can turn the red side in.

That may not be possible. Hard to tell from just looking at the tread (plus there's not enough info on their web site), but it may very likely be an assymetric tread. Meaning there's an inside and and ouside vice a left and right. Meaning you can not turn the tire around to put the blackwall out. I'm not saying they are this way, but it's very possible.

Seems you would hear more people talking about turning them around if it were possible...or maybe it's just that everyone likes the red letters and no one wants to turn them around.
