My truck is white. I'm really liking the black wheels people have on here... The XD Monsters and Rockstars are my favorite right now.

If you were me, would you go Chrome, Black, or Black + polished on a white truck?

Also, 17" or 18"?

 

Everyone has their own opinion. Personall, I used to not like black wheels on white trucks, but now I do. I also seem to like the look of a larger wheel in black vs. chrome or polished.

 

If you live where there is salt and bad weather stay away from polished unless you like allot of maintenance. Like Wandell said, I not a fan of black wheels on white trucks but if you go with 20's they look better.

 

How do black wheels hold up in michigan winters?

I used to only buy chrome wheels for my cars/trucks, now i'm really liking the black look.

Question: what is the biggest tire I can fit on my truck with 17's and/or 18's?

There should be no fitment problems with this setup on my 2003 FX4 stock suspension correct?

A 10.5" tire will look good on a 9" wheel correct?

 

Those will fit without issue.

A 10.5 inch tire on a 9 inch wheel will look just fine. Not pinched, and not stretched, which will give you a nice contact patch.

We installed a set of 275/65R20 DuraTracs on a 2008 FX4 at my work a while back, and all we had to do was (with the customer's permission, and him there when we did it) was trim a little bit off the inside edge of his front mudflaps.

Will 295/65-18's fit on my stock 09 fx4 no problem?

 

if your worried about using them in the winter then just put your stock wheels back on during those months. you might have to buy another set of tires but it will save your new rims.

My buddy runs black 20x10 rims on his truck but pulls them off during the winter here in MI I wouldn't run any aftermarket rim through the winter. But thats just me
