Front end humming and steering wheel got the shakes

I have been searching through old posts and have found a lot of great info but still am stumped. I have an 04 super crew with just over 69,000 miles and have been noticing a distinct humming noise while driving. The noise is constant weather driving or coasting and is coming from the front end. Can't get the noise to dissapear when turning left or right. I assumed front bearing but I jacked her up and all was snug when pulled form 6 and 12 oclock. Couldn't hear much noise while spinning the tires either becuase the pads were dragging on the rotors a little. I recently had the tires rotated and I noticed while I had it jacked up the the inside are a little worn. Also worth noting there is a bit of a shake in the steering wheel while driving and I feel some friction when i turn the steering wheel.

Any help would be great!

As far as the humming noise, have you checked the power steering fluid? If its low the steering will sometimes make an annoying humming noise.

As far as the shaking, Its possible that your brakes are either warped or need to be changed. Mine shakes a little when I brake, If its shaking while driving it might be an alignment/balancing issue.

Uneven tire wear like that often is a sign of failing front end components, in this case I would suspect your ball joints to be on the way out. Also tires that are cupped can produce a humming sound and will definatly produce a vibration all the way through the steering wheel.

When you turned the wheel if the brakes rubbed evenly all the way around I would not worry too much about them, but if it freed up then got tight again you probably have warped rotors.

So I would verify the breaks are not warped, look into whats causing your tires to be worn unevenly - fix that, then replace worn tires.
