03 Expy - clunk on braking

03 Expy XLT 4x2 5.4 - 154K. about 6 weeks ago, my front brakes were vibrating and everything i read pointed to some sort of rotor problem. decided to do it myself - rotors and pads from Autozone. non-ceramic.

got my son to help me, watched a youtube video, 90 minites later, we were done. no problems, vibration solved. now ...

about a week ago, i noticed a 'clunk' noise the 1st time i braked backing out of the driveway. nothing the rest of the drive. evening, same thing leaving work - 1st braking had a clunk. now, sound like i get 2 clunks before it stops for the drive.

i tried slamming the brakes pretty hard a couple of times to see if it might give me more info, nothing occurred unusual. truck stops fine, no pulling or squealing, etc.

think i might check the caliper bolts to make sure they are tight, should be i assume. any other suggestions welcome. thanks

you need to check your bolts ASAP

it sounds like something is loose.

Some other members have had the same issue and when the bolt falls out it will probably trash your brakes.

Its probably just your brake hardware, happens all the time when they get loose over time
